Very good soundboard recording of this show. I assume it was taken from
the DVD which is also available in the DVD project (although my DVD doesn't
have the full intro to Toys in the Attic and the MP3 has). The DVD has
a lenght of 1h53m30s, but the songs done at the stage in the crowd have
no audio on the mentioned DVD, so on the bootleg, they're left out. The
ones we have to miss are Chip Away the Stone, Dream On and Big Ten Inch
Record. They were played after Lord of the Thighs. Too bad 'Chip Away'
is one of them, 'cos that one was played for the first time this tour.
What's left certainly rocks. Compared to the Fifa Show, this recording
is a bit raw (including Steven's voice). Read the review on the Fifa Show
if you want to know why I mention this 'rawness.'
Same Old Song and Dance contains some extra lyrics, I think Steven's improvising
right on stage. During Girls of Summer, the music seems to be a little
bit turned to the background.
Sweet Emotion: after 'I can't tell you baby where I'll be next year,'
Stevens adds something like 'with Jerry Gardener somewhere over the rainbow.'
There are some funny guitar noises in it, too.
What it Takes starts with piano playing and a verse or two of some other
song I don't recognize, maybe Steven's made up the lyrics himself. Steven
let's the audience sing most of the a cappella intro, at a moment saying
'Don't stop now.' So the crowd sings the a cappella part to the end, when
the whole band takes over.
Nice version of Lord of the Thighs. Monkey on my Back has a bit rare intro:
it's longer than the 'usual:' the drumming starts after 75 seconds. After
Jaded there's a bit guitar playing. It seems there's something wrong with
Brad's guitar (seen on DVD). At first Steven says: "Don't worry about
that." Then, if you listen carefully (because it's not through the microphone),
you hear Steven yell at one of the technicians "You're fired." After:
"F#ck it! Just play it!" The blues intro of Pink starts.
Before Stop Messin' Around, Joe says: "I don't know what it is, we've
got amplifiers blowing up left and right tonight." Steven replies: "It's
your playing boy!" Joe talks on and Steven yells "Oh yeah!" Joe replies:
"What's that sound? Cyrinda, this one's for you." (Cyrinda Fox-Tyler,
Steven's first wive, past away just days before.)
Steven doesn't seem to give it all at the high vocal part of Draw The
Line: the screaming isn't convincing. Later on, near to the end, there's
a lot of 'real' screaming.
Walk This Way is with Kid Rock and Run DMC. Steven introduces them with:
"Now in the house, magic moment: Kid Rock and Run DMC, bring it on!" There's
a lot of yelling between Steven and one of the DMC's. He calls it a 'family
reunion' and he calls Steven 'Steve Tyler.' As expected, Walk This Way
is screaming voices everywhere.
At the band introduction, Steven let's the audience scream the 'F#cking'
between Joe and Perry. Joe introduces Steven as the best singer on the
planet. Who dares to disagree??
